We recently discovered that Davy shows the beginning signs of laughing when we clap his little fists together. So far, nothing else gets this same reaction, but we don't mind the repetition when he's so cute like this.

Talk to the Chicken II and Flying
David has really filled out the past few weeks!
So we've been thinking about changing the name of our blog to "Davy Lambourne Fan Club Headquarters" since that is what this blog is wholly about. We don't have much of a life outside of him! And it's a great life. Rachel has been working on her Guatemala scrapbook and is finally almost done. Collin has played basketball some early Saturday mornings at the church and works hard and late. Saturday Collin had to work at the office, so Rachel and Davy took the subway into downtown Boston to visit. Davy was super cute for Collin's team and we had a nice lunch on the town.

Chicken Talk
At Auntie Erica's request, here's a video of Davy playing with the chicken. This may not be the best video we have, but unfortunately, I can't tell which video is which on my computer until I post it. I'll try to put some more on later. Happy viewing!

True Blue
Rachel's dad came bearing gifts when he came to visit. As the Dollahites are as true blue as any BYU family, all gifts were standard BYU issue. The hat fits Davy now, and he has gotten many compliments and comments on it so far from members in the ward. We're hoping it may even become a missionary tool at the grocery store, or library, or some where that people aren't familiar with BYU.
At his 2 month doctor appointment, Davy weighed 10 lbs 7 oz. We are thrilled! This means he gained almost a pound in two weeks and we have no reason to worry any more about his growth and Rachel's milk supply. Now we can just sit back and relax and enjoy life a little more. Davy also got his shots and was such a brave baby. He was a bit offended when the needle pricked his tender skin, but he calmed down right after.

Growing
"Hello, Fan Club!" David says . . .

David is growing all the time! Like, overnight, even! Here is a picture of yet another outfit that is being worn for the last time. After we wash it it will have to go in the baby box for a future sibling. But Davy has seen these PJs for the last time. We had to put Rachel's favorite corduroy overalls in the box this morning. That was sad. But the good thing is that we can start bringing out all the other cute things that have been waiting.

Collin's work is keeping him away from home until about 9:30 these days. We'll be so happy when busy season is over! However, we have to remember to be grateful. It could be so much worse! When Collin comes home it is play time for the boys! David is ready for a little "rough play" and mom is ready to have a break from diapers. (Dad is on diaper duty from 9:30-11:59 pm and 5:30-7:30 am.) Of course Davy doesn't understand English yet, but he seems to know when we are talking about him and how cute he is. Just now, when Rachel was looking at her friend's blog and their cute new baby, she said he was almost as cute as Davy and Davy gave a big smile. This isn't the first time his smiles have come right on cue! He really makes the best expressions and provides such entertainment. He has a wonderful pout, with great big bottom lip action. We'll have to try to catch that on film one of these days.

Patty Cake
David gets excited about patty cake everytime. Collin does too, but that's beside the point.

Blessing
Today David Iver was given a name and a blessing by his father in church. Dad was part of the circle along with our close friends in our ward/neighborhood. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends here to stand in for Collin's father and brothers. Collin gave a beautiful blessing to Davy--so eloquent and thoughtful.

Davy is a content and happy baby, especially when he is held 12 hours a day by his Abba who makes faces for his entertainment.
