Just a few days after we came home from California, Davy and Eddy came down with something nasty. Must've caught it on the plane, because we hadn't even seen anyone yet! We finally got over that and Davy was himself for about two days before another yucky bug roared its ugly head. That one really wiped us all out! Davy was a total zombie for several days and it got to the point where I almost ran him to the ER. He was so dehydrated and zoned out. I was most worried when he wouldn't even watch a movie! He lost at least five pounds and felt so weak and thin for several more days. Thankfully he had some body fat to spare (not that I'm saying he was fat--just nice and stocky) and has bounced back fine. We were in recuperating mode and had to find ways to occupy ourselves around the house. Painting is a great new favorite.

Poor Edward's blood-shot eyes don't diminish his cuteness in the slightest. And even cranky and sick and teething, he's a happy baby!

And here's Eddy sitting up all by himself! This picture is slightly deceptive, though. He can sit up like this by himself, but certainly not for long and it just happened that I snapped the camera at this second. Usually he's a bit more slumped over still, just trying to get the hang of the position and balance.

A friend in the ward is doing a Kindermusik class for her son and the kids his age. Davy's a lucky member of the group and loves it! It's Kindermusik all the time in the car (aaaaggh!) and music making all the time at home. "Making music" naturally involves banging "drums" and "drumsticks" (anything that can be banged together) as loudly as possible. And he's rediscovered this silly piano that had lain dormant for so long I was ready to reassign its location to the basement. But now Eddy is entranced by the music and flashing lights, too, so I guess it's a keeper.

So serious. I don't take enough pictures of Eddy, so I have to post every one that I do take!

Sorry about the quality of the video and the weird light. But Davy's so cute answering these questions. And the drilling works! The other day at the library a little bit older kid asked his name and he said, "Davy Lambourne" in his sweet little voice. Hopefully he'll remember the answers if he gets lost, too.
